SCORE! Celebrating twenty years with The Esoterics
Your votes have been cast and counted! Thanks to everyone — all of the singers and audience members in our community — who shared their favorite choral performances with us from The Esoterics’ last two decades. We are thrilled to announce that, on the weekend of our twentieth anniversary, 64 singers of The Esoterics will come together to present two concerts of a cappella masterpieces — an evening of secular works on Saturday at St Joe’s, followed by an afternoon of sacred music on Sunday at Holy Rosary. From the virtuosic mysticism of the Strauss and Schnittke to the quiet meditation of the Asplin, from the percolating whimsy of the Swayne to the incomparable beauty of the Barber and Martin, from the searing drama of the Lidholm to the jaunty folkiness of the Mäntyjärvi, in addition to brilliant works by our own local composers — Herbolsheimer, Muehleisen, and Skirvin — we are excited to share each and every one these masterworks with you!
Please join us for BOTH of these unforgettable choral celebrations!
(Please note the earlier than usual start times!)
