Help us raise $10K by 10/10/10!

The Esoterics is very pleased to announce the winners of our 2010 POLYPHONOS composition competition, who will be traveling to Seattle in October to hear their commissioned works. The group would like to invite you to join in the excitement!

Over the past 17 years, The Esoterics has performed countless world premieres and uncovered existing works and composers virtually unknown in the United States. The ensemble created its annual POLYPHONOS competition to help support this mission of performing and perpetuating contemporary a cappella choral music, and each year it commissions three composers to create new works on a central theme. This year the composers were asked to write wordless pieces based on works of visual art; you can experience these new commissions in October at VIVIDA: A choral synthesis of sight and sounds.

The Esoterics feels very privileged to be a part of a community that appreciates choral music as a living art form, and the group is now asking you –the choir’s community of audience members and singers – to join together and participate in the annual POLYPHONOS Fund Drive. With your donation of any size to the Fund Drive, you will help provide the commissions and Seattle travel expenses for the talented POLYPHONOS composers, allowing them to hear their new music for the very first time.

All contributors will be acknowledged at our VIVIDA performances in October, both in person and in the concert program.

Be a part of The Esoterics and contribute to the POLYPHONOS 2010 Fund Drive today. Even $10 will help raise $10K by 10/10/10!
